POLICY STRATEGY FOR WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT IN WEST JAVA PROVINCE AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstrak

Women are a vulnerable group and are the group most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The vulnerability of women during the pandemic is also related to the decline in household
income, both due to pay cuts, and even job losses. As household incomes decrease, tensions in
the home will increase. Women will be targeted by abusers, who often use financial hardship
as an excuse behind violence. Women in West Java are a vulnerable group and need social
support in the form of activities. Women's empowerment is to increase their ability in the
economic, social and cultural fields.Sekoper Cinta is one of the women's empowerment
activities in West Java that can be used as an example for the national level. This activity needs
to be carried out continuously.
