THE URGENCY OF PEOPLE’S BUSINESS CREDIT (KUR) REVITALIZATION FOR POST COVID-19 PANDEMY ECONOMIC RECOVERY
Abstrak
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is one of the sectors hardest hit by the Covid19 pandemic. Social restrictions and the slowing down of the economy have a direct impact on thedecline in production and sales that threaten business sustainability. As a sector that has a strategicposition in the structure of the national economy, MSMEs are still facing challenges of access to the capital, even more in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The People's Business Credit (KUR) as an instrument for empowering MSMEs needs to be a priority in the policy scheme to respond to the impact of the pandemic situation. The government has issued a credit restructuring policy to help MSMEs survive the pandemic. However, the government also
needs to intensify and extend the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) to accelerate the people's economic recovery after the pandemic.
