Abstrak

This article aims to describe the effectiveness of training for Policy Analyst Candidates with a
form of distance training that is used to replace classical training in the COVID-19 pandemic.
This research method is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The analysis was carried out
by collecting data on the evaluation score of the Policy Analyst Candidate training participants
in the classical form of learning and distance learning. Analysis is also carried out through
interviews with alumni and the results of evaluation of implementation of the training. Policy
Analyst Candidate Training is a training held for Policy Analyst candidates for the first
appointment. This training aims to prepare Policy Analysts Candidate to carry out their duties
as Policy Analysts professionally. The population in this study were Policy Analyst Candidate
Training participants with the form of classical training in 2019 and with the form of distance
learning (full e-learning) in 2020. Based on the findings in this study, it shows that the
competency achievements of participants in the form of distance training are using information
technology media is higher than the classical form of training.
